Baracoda scanners compatible with Google Android OS : How to connect ?

The complete range of Baracoda Bluetooth barcode and RFID scanners is now compatible with the Android platform

BaracodaManager is available with Android platform from 2.1 Eclair and 2.2 Froyo versions and above

BaracodaManager for Android can be downloaded here

BaracodaManager enables you to connect Baracoda scanners to any Android terminal and also to access advanced features such as prefix/suffix settings, text edition through keyboard emulation, collected data treatment (barcodes, RFID tags, pictures) and automatic reconnection.

 

How to connect?
  • Connect your Android smartphone to a PC and select “Disk drive” as connection type
  • Copy the installation file BaracodaManager for Android_vXX.apk to the root directory of the virtual disk drive represented by the Android smartphone’s SD card.
  • Start the App Installer application: App Installer should show the BaracodaManager icon on the screen
  • Storage is used to save application preferences and also image/signature captures (if used). Please click Install to install the BaracodaManager
  • App Installer will confirm that the installation has been completedCheck that the BaracodaManager has been installed by verifying the presence of its shortcut in the Applications menu
