Heineken / Refrival present the Baracoda & IT Soft solution at the BlackBerry World Conference
Heineken is an international brewing company with a worldwide presence through a global network of distributors and breweries. The group brews and sells more than 170 international premiums, regional, local and specialty beers. Customer Challenge Get a mobile solution to ensure that regular visits are performed by the field force to control the cooling systems of the barrels and beer pumps in bars. Solution 700 ID-Blue connected to BlackBerry (8700 series) and 13,56MHz RFID tags encapsulated in resin, screwed on the barrels. IT Architecture The tag is read by the ID-Blue that sends the serial number to the BlackBerry into a field services software application. The information with the state of the machinery is then sent to the company’s central server through GPRS.
